LEAF tokenomics
LEAF's supply, where it goes, and how it launched on the order book.
LEAF is Lightbeam's token. There are 10 million, all minted at launch; no more can ever be made.
| Allocation | Share | LEAF | Where it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trading rewards | 65% | 6,500,000 | In the rewards contract, paid out daily to traders |
| Public sale | 25% | 2,500,000 | 913,493 sold in the earlier public sale, which its buyers bridge over 1:1; the other 1,586,507 for sale on LEAF's order book |
| Liquidity | 5% | 500,000 | Auto-flip orders on LEAF's order book |
| Team | 5% | 500,000 | Held by the team |
A fair launch on the order book
LEAF launched straight onto its own market, against a dollar token, like any other token on Lightbeam. The whole launch is a set of orders on that book.
At each of the 50 levels there are two sell orders:
- A one-way sale order of about 31,730 LEAF, an equal share of the 1,586,507 left from the public sale. These sell once and never flip back. The money they raise goes to Lightbeam.
- A liquidity order of 10,000 LEAF. When it sells, it flips into a buy order 2% lower. As buyers work up through the levels, these flipped orders build a wall of bids under the price.
So the price can only rise as fast as buyers take each level, and every level they take leaves support behind. LEAF's market page shows how much of the sale is left, the next sale price and how many liquidity orders have flipped.
Trading rewards
Most of the supply goes to the people who use Lightbeam. The 6.5 million rewards LEAF pay out as a daily pot, starting at 13,000 LEAF and shrinking by 0.2% a day, forever. There's no staking: you earn by trading. See Rewards.
